The artist Maurenilson was born on 29th April in Ceará, Brazil.
He moved to the capital Brasilia very early in his life. He has worked in several marketing agencies there. He won five international awards from The Society for News Design and the Esso Award for Graphic Design for his work on The Correio Braziliense. The Correio Brasiliense newspaper was born in the 1960s being the first one to be created in Brasilia. It is one of the most influential daily newspapers since then. Maurenilson has been working there since 2001, doing illustrations and helping to better portray brands and products.
